The mischievous little Skamper comes as standard with two single beds. If only one person is to sleep in it the second bed mattress can be left at home, creating yet more storage space. When compared to other competitors in the micro camper class we believe the Skamper II has far more storage capacity, higher levels of equipment, far more comfortable seats and the best beds!
The Skamper II is a four seater car when not being used for camping, all with three point seat belts and head restraints. Whilst away camping the Skamper II is a strict two seater for travelling (the two cab seats only) as the rear seat travels in the "tipped up" position. Upon arrival at the campsite the cab seats slide forward and the rear seat lowers into the space vacated by them (an easy 30 second job). This seat is rather special as it is contoured and shaped like a cab seat - it even has an adjustable recline, and thus provides what we feel is the most comfortable camping seat in it's class (or pretty much any class!). A huge locker beneath the seat awaits your "stuff". A third "seat/perch" can also be created above the Porta Potti locker, see photos.
A very special, Sky Sleeper elevating roof which is raised at the touch of a switch electrically, with two insulated slide out bed trays with bed mattresses permanently in place, this gives a tremendous amount of space that really does have to be seen to be appreciated! Large vents and windows are incorporated in the fabric of the Sky Sleeper roof. The roof can be lowered whilst wet.
The stainless steel sink and drainer is fitted into a section of the kitchen unit that swings round 90 degrees to give unrivalled access to the Porta Potti which is left in place for use. At night time the sink is left in this position (tucked up behind the driver's seat). The remaining kitchen unit provides a sturdy platform (two steps) to access the roof beds, no wobbly ladder or gymnastics required! Fresh water storage is a 10 litre ( 2.2 gallon) Jerry can, easy to carry and conveniently accessed through the off-side side sliding door.
Skamper II is based on the Fiat Fiorino Combi (M1) with 1.3 ltr Multijet turbo diesel engine producing 75 BHP (optional 95 BHP). Emissions; Euro 5, only 113 g/km which is currently £30 a year (first year zero!), 50 M.P.G. is achievable, helped by the very latest "Stop Start" technology for in town and Cruise Control for the motorway.

Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with EBD. Power steering with adjustable steering column. Electrically operated door mirrors. Remote control central door locking and electric windows. The water is electrically pumped to the sink. A folding 2 gallon bucket is provided for the waste water. Mains hook up and one outlet, RCD safety device, 12 amp battery charger that charges the 100 amp Elecsol auxiliary battery, also charged from the engine whilst motoring, automatically. Seven litre Waeco Thermoelectric cooler which runs from the auxiliary battery, located on the floor behind the driver's seat. (Fourteen litre extra cost option).
Two burner hob with flame failure device. A large under floor storage compartment, accessed from inside, about the size of a decent suitcase, ideal for shoes, boots, and general "clobber".
Gas compartment for one camping Gaz 907 and one 901 vented to the outside. The sink/drainer cover doubles up as the table on a island leg. Additional worktop/shelf that can be placed on the front end of the kitchen unit (resting on the back of the driver's seat) this gives a really useful work surface. Fire extinguisher with gauge. Two double fluorescent lights.
